This trip is a two part trip.

Please see the Striped Marlin page for the first part of this expedition.

This trips follows the Striped Marlin Trip as a 2 part expedition. The adventure continues to find mobular rays, whale sharks ,sea lions and more.

The Sea Of Cortez was described as the Aquarium of the World by Jacques Yves Cousteau.

During this trip we will be visiting different areas outside of the bay of La Paz . We will be camping at a beach cove on Espiritu Santo Island, a marine reserve. Although the Sea of Cortez is home to several species and it is great for both macro and wide angle photography, our main focus will be sea lions, whale sharks and mobulas. We will visit a variety of dive sites, depending on the group needs and conditions every day.

The Sea Of Cortez scenery is breathtaking, both topside and underwater.

From our previous experience in terms of visibility, water temperature and overall conditions, one of the best times of the year to dive the Sea of Cortez is the Fall.

Along with the great conditions, we will be able to visit different sites that will give you the opportunity to dive/ freedive with a variety of marine life. We will visit sites like El Mogote, which is an aggregation site for whale sharks, different sea lion colonies which are abundant in this area of the Sea of Cortez not to mention the schooling mobulas which we will dive with at night right in front of our base camp.

Our itinerary will be flexible depending on what the best options are for the day.
